PREFACE
Many are the important truth conveyed to by the words of our fore fathers through proverbs. I must give credit to Africa and Nigeria in particular, for its philosophical tradition, suited not only for those who talk its languages, but to reach in spoken or written form, the outside world too, to impact its great wisdom.

I have devoted my precious time to the careful study of these African proverbs, wise sayings of men and women of note listening and following curiously when elders talked. Most times, when they gathered in my father's compound.I was willing, eager to master them.

I must beg my readers to follow me very closely, to pardon me wherever I seemed to have failed in the right use of words, and pardon me. I t should be noted that some proverbs and wise sayings lose their force when translated to a second tongue.

Finally, I call on every wisdom lover, to come and let us reason together in wisdom.
